Groupe Clarins Art Commission
A quick throwback to my commissioned art show with Groupe Clarins in June 2025, proposed by their brand new Diversity & Inclusion team as the spearhead movement of their first ever celebration of Pride Month. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I will never forget, and am looking forward to what’s coming next!
The brief was to be as colourful as possible, while celebrating queer love, identity, duality, femininity and masculinity, nature, plants, our universe, and of course, life.
“The Perspective of Identity - Love as Opposing Forces”. Paris, 2025. Acrylic & mixed media on canvas. 130 x 195 cm.
Using the same colour palette, the first piece of the first duo explores love as a Nepenthes bell like Venus Fly Trap, where by we take the question “where do we draw the line between love and obsession?” a step further towards life and death thanks to the carnivorous nature of the plant.
Blended in with sensual rounded organic forms, the situation is engulfing the couple but they are so lost in love that they do not fight to resist as they slide into the depths of this alien plant overseeing a surrealist landscape inspired by Dali, Egypt, and the future of humanity in Outer Space.
