As discussed during the One-on-One with Jonathan, one of the things that I chose to help me Develop My Purpose and Improve My Technique was to call Pierre Peyrolle.

I met Pierre Peyrolle during the summer of 2024 and was shown around his amazing Italian Baroque-style castle, all made from scratch, in the heart of the French countryside just outside of Paris.

Pierre had known Salvador Dali, Peggy Guggemheim, exhibited at the Whitney Museum, Espace Cardin, Musée Dali, Grand Palais, as well as been Chairman of the Board of Directors of ADAGP - Société des auteurs dans les arts graphiques et plastiques (Society of Authors in the Graphic and Plastic Arts), and so many other amazing achievements, and yet, before this summer, I had not seen his work!

We hit it off and I knew that I would be the happiest and luckiest soul alive if he would agree to mentor me in some way, but I had no idea how to open that conversation.

Now, several months later, in the heart of winter, thanks to Central Saint Martins and the availability of my friends Benjamin Hélion (Peggy Guggenheim + Jean Hélion’s grandson) + Erick Ricardo my agent + Clément Grobotek, the fashion influencer, I now have the perfect excuse to call Pierre and ask if we can visit his castle!

So I freaked out for a few days and then finally picked up the phone… and called Pierre.

Of course there was no reason for me to freak out, Pierre was overjoyed to receive us at his humble abode, over tea and cake.

I shall check back in after the 16th November, but here are some photos taken during the summer, for now!
