The Good Rice Gallery ghost, or, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde

So, apparently I apply for Open Calls when I am under the influence, and then I can’t remember what I have sent.

This would just be funny, except that I then received confirmation that I was selected for said Open Call, and that the artwork collection was in less than 72 hours. SUPER LAST MINUTE!

This means that we have quite a strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde going on….!

The Open Call in question was for the Good Rice Gallery, a Central Saint Martins-managed initiative, so I must have applied as Daniella but mentioning the entire class, as we did previously.

I did, however, mix up my Open Calls, as THIS particular Open Call is called “Manifest Content” and the other one we also applied to as a class was for our group idea “Threads” - both for Good Rice.

Therefore, as I am clearly not disposed to bring any artworks to London tomorrow Monday 24th November as I am working all day and all week in Paris, I have informed Olga, Hicham and the others.

Hopefully something can be done, and someone can kindly print my artworks over in London, perhaps with Jonathan or else with CSM printing, otherwise it was already nice to be selected by the gallery!

Hopefully (x2) we do not have another Dr. Jekyll // Ms. Hyde moment, as it is truly bizarre to have almost zero recollection of having done something…

Also, in addition to the confusion, the email itself states Monday 23rd November, which is not only last minute, but doesn’t exist, it’s either Sunday 23rd, or Monday 24th…!

Stay tuned for more strange adventures…
